Emily Nelson 02/27/24 Chapter 5 is all about the tools that can be used to help further develop and support our connected learning communities. This chapter also talks about tools not only for this but also for extending learning communities in the classroom, online reputation/etiquette, and even for collaboration.   At the beginning of this chapter, we talk about tools such as social bookmarking, tagging, the Delicious website, and even the Digo website. Social bookmarking is when you save/ bookmark something on your computer or mobile device for easier quicker access. Tagging is social bookmarking by a different name which is just another any to keep content organized and concise as well as easily accessible. The delicious website is useful because it is what can be used to save websites and tags more effectively, essentially this website was designed to make tagging/ bookmarking slightly more user-friendly and organized. Canvas Project -  Emily Nelson Blog response #2  02/13/24 Powerpoint Canvas is an educational technology commonly used by schools and universities everywhere. Canvas' self-explanatory nature makes it very user-friendly. On this site, you can access your courses, modules, assignments, quizzes/ tests, and you can even directly message your teachers through Canvas. This platform is very organized as well, and personally, when I do my school work or work I prefer organization it makes me less stressed. Just the way everything is set up, it is nearly impossible to miss an assignment because you didn't see it because Canvas messages you and lets you know, also all assignments due that week show up in colors and big letters.
