Chapter 5 is all about the tools that can be used to help further develop and support our connected learning communities. This chapter also talks about tools not only for this but also for extending learning communities in the classroom, online reputation/etiquette, and even for collaboration.   At the beginning of this chapter, we talk about tools such as social bookmarking, tagging, the Delicious website, and even the Digo website. Social bookmarking is when you save/ bookmark something on your computer or mobile device for easier quicker access. Tagging is social bookmarking by a different name which is just another any to keep content organized and concise as well as easily accessible. The delicious website is useful because it is what can be used to save websites and tags more effectively, essentially this website was designed to make tagging/ bookmarking slightly more user-friendly and organized. Digo is almost the same as this website and offers the same applications and organizational opportunities. Digo is slightly more advanced with features like annotation. All of these tools make the foundation of all connected learning communities because the web and technology work hand and hand with connected learning communities and things like these tools make this so much easier.

Personally, I am a business management major and these applications and websites could be helpful for me now in college. I'm always looking up different business websites depending on what I need for that class or assignment and these would be a life savior because of the organizational side of it. Tagging or bookmarking websites is always useful in school and in the workplace so no matter what all your work or things you need to cite are in one place. Working and school are obviously large portions of any college kid's everyday life, things like Digo and applications similar help me personally to further my understanding of connected learning communities as well as having all my websites and such in one organized place that is easily accessible.
