Instagram has been around since 2010 and is still being used to this day as a social media platform that connects people. As well as being a form of how you express yourself with your own posts. Instagram is a user-friendly platform and as long as you respect the guidelines and do not post anything problematic Instagram is an amazing outlet. It is also a great tool for not only personal use but for the business world as well. Social media marketing from all platforms cut companies' marketing budgets in half therefore saving for revenue that can later be distributed throughout the company. This is a key fact that helped get the ball rolling for Instagram to take things a step forward. 


Instagram allows businesses to run stores through their platform making it easy to reach customers because all they have to do is go on Instagram and tap a post that is linked to a shop on that person's account. Making the entire shop at your fingertips. Instagram shops are home to anything from small businesses to massive corporations and have brought in an obscene amount of money. To see something as well known as Instagram open up the floodgates with businesses and their sales goes to show how important social media platforms are in the business world and the endless possibilities that can be offered.

    I have had Instagram for a long time now. After watching this video, I have never realized how much I could do with this app. I love how they added reels to Instagram. It's similar to TikTok. But I love Instagram. It's fun but also annoying sometimes because of the many fake videos there.

    Hey Emily, social media is one of the many ways people entering the workforce can look to to provide themselves an advantage in the job market and their future career,  it is very important to emphasize this and educate other people on how to utilize it.  I very much enjoyed your smackdown.
